Cookie policy
Last updated October 2026. This explains what cookies and similar technologies ReluxeBnB uses on this site, and the choices you have.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies stay on your device for a set period, so a site can recognize you on a later visit.
How we use cookies
We keep this to the minimum that's actually needed to run the site — there's no advertising or analytics tracking here.
- Essential — session cookie. When you visit, we set a standard PHP session cookie. We use it to remember your guest count and search dates as you move between pages, and to cache a one-time lookup of your approximate country (from your IP address) so pricing shows in the right currency without repeating that lookup on every page. This cookie is deleted automatically when you close your browser.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site (e.g. which pages are viewed, roughly how many visitors we get) — it sets cookies to recognize repeat visits and tell visits apart from each other. We use this in aggregate to improve the site; we don't use it to target ads at you. See Google's cookie policy and how Analytics uses data.
- Checkout — payment processing. When you reach the payment step for a confirmed reservation and choose to pay by card, Apple Pay, or PayPal, PayPal's own checkout widget loads on that page and may set its own cookies to process the payment securely and prevent fraud. We don't control these — see PayPal's cookie policy for details. If you pay by bank/GCash QR transfer instead, PayPal's widget never loads.
- Fonts. Our page text uses Google Fonts (Cormorant Garamond, Inter), loaded from Google's servers. This lets your browser cache the fonts, and shares your IP address with Google the way any request to an external server does — Google's font service does not set cookies for this.
- Maps (when shown). If an interactive Google Map is displayed on a property or search page, it's served by Google and may set Google's own cookies the same way any embedded Google Maps page does. See Google's cookie policy.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies and no cross-site ad targeting. Google Analytics (above) is the only tracking technology on this site, used purely to understand site usage — not to build an ad profile of you or share data with ad networks.
Your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings, and you can set your browser to ask before accepting a cookie. Since the only cookie we set ourselves is a session cookie needed for the booking flow to work correctly, blocking it may cause search preferences or currency display to reset between pages. Blocking PayPal's or Google's cookies is controlled by your browser and their own settings, not by us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this page if what we use changes — for example if analytics or a mapping feature is added later. Check back here for the current version.
